The IEEE AgeTech Initiative promotes technology innovation, disseminates knowledge and guidance, and fosters global collaborations to incubate new standards, data sets, guidelines and innovation challenges. SSIT collaborates with the IEEE AgeTech Initiative. The presentation provides an overview of this new initiative that furthers IEEE’s mission to advance technology for humanity.
IEEE Future Tech Forum: Technology Innovations for the Aging Roundtable

In this IEEE Future Tech Forum virtual roundtable moderated by Celia Desmond and Joseph Wei, a panel of experts explore the theme of “Innovations for the Aging Population,” with a focus on the key technologies that enable the development of such innovations and examining their impact on the aging population worldwide. This panel connected experts from various fields, including healthcare, technology, policy, and academia. They shed light on the challenges faced by aging populations and the role of innovation in addressing these challenges. The topics of discussion included a variety of groundbreaking technologies such as assistive devices, telehealth, smart homes, wearable devices, and artificial intelligence, among others.
