Andrew Jung Bong-Keun “Andrew” Jung, OTD, University of Southern California (USC), USA

Bong-Keun (Andrew) Jung, OTD, is a Professor at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and Director of the Human Function and AgeTech Integration (HFIT) Lab. His research focuses on AI-enabled rehabilitation, wearable robotics, digital health, and AgeTech solutions that promote healthy aging, functional independence, and quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities. Dr. Jung has led multidisciplinary research projects in collaboration with academic, clinical, and industry partners and serves as Chair of the IEEE AgeTech Wearable Robotics Committee. His work aims to bridge engineering, healthcare, and gerontology to accelerate the translation of innovative technologies into real-world applications.

Sungwoo Park Sungwoo Park, PhD, WIRobotics, South Korea

Dr. Sungwoo Park is currently working as a leader of Innovation Lab of WIRobotics. The current research focus is human-robot interaction with wearable exoskeletal robotic systems for healthy and neurologically impaired individuals in perspectives of biomechanics, sensorimotor control, and human factors. Dr. Park is specifically interested in understanding how people interact with robotic (symmetric/asymmetric) gait assistance or resistance and determining if wearable robotic devices can improve users’ movement capacity and quality.

 

Jan Veneman Jan Veneman, PhD, Hocoma AG, Switzerland; MCI Innsbruck, Austria

Dr. Jan F. Veneman is a robotics engineer, researcher, and technology leader specializing in rehabilitation robotics and wearable robotic systems. As Head of Development at Hocoma AG, he leads the development of advanced robotic technologies for neurorehabilitation and mobility restoration. He has played a leading role in European research initiatives on exoskeletons and wearable robots and serves as a Swiss expert in international IEC/ISO standardization activities for medical robotics and autonomous medical systems. His interests include human-centered robotic design, safety and regulation of medical robots, and the role of wearable robotics in supporting healthy aging and independent living.

 

Inhyuk Moon Inhyuk Moon, PhD, Dong-Eui University, South Korea

Dr. Moon has worked in the field of assistive technology and rehabilitation robotics at Yonsei University, KOREC (Korea Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Engineering Center), and Dong-Eui University after graduating from Osaka University in 1999. Since 2006, he has worked as an expert for the ISO/TC173 (Assistive products), IEC TC62 (Medical equipment, software and systems), and ISO/TC299 (Robotics), and currently serves as the convener of ISO and IEC workgroups. He is currently engaged in standardization work in the fields of exoskeletons, caring robots, assistive robots and medical-applicable robots. He served as president of the Korean Society of Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (RESKO) and Korean Society of Biomechanics (KSB), and is currently serving as the Pres-Elect of Korean Society of Rehabilitation Robotics (KORERO).
