EducationThe AgeTech Education Committee has three different functions.

The first function of the Education Committee is to make available AgeTech findings, meetings, talks, webinars, broadcasts, and other efforts supporting the AgeTech initiative. This initiative is international in scope and will include coordination with other organizations both within and outside of IEEE.

The second function of the Education Committee is to create a resource for AgeTech information, specifically through the AgeTech Resource Hub (ARCH). The goal of ARCH is to create a curated list of resources that can be used to support the development of AgeTech standards and technologies. These resources will consist of comprehensive listings of research efforts found in universities, research labs, and other related supporting organizations. ARCH will also contain a list of current research practices and findings in the AgeTech field including publications, white papers, and associated and relevant findings. It will pull from special interest groups that focus on aging including professional organizations and related associations. Groups that are working on the creation of AgeTech Standards can look to ARCH to find materials to support their efforts.

The third function of the Education Committee is communication and outreach. The AgeTech website is one of the primary communication and outreach tools for AgeTech. Another part of the communications and outreach function will be providing articles and writeups for newsletters and other websites. Also, a group of hashtags will be created and disseminated to facilitate sharing and commonality. Collateral will be created and shared to be used for communication efforts, conferences, and any other publicity efforts.
